Valiant Energy Hit By Ransomware, Customer Data Exposed Online

A recent ransomware attack on Valiant Energy Solutions has resulted in a significant data breach, with internal company files and customer information appearing online. The incident, first reported on May 27, 2025, highlights ongoing cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the energy sector. The breach, discovered and reportedly executed on the same day, involved the exfiltration of sensitive information. Exposed data includes internal company documents and data dashboards containing significant amounts of personal data from both employees and customers. Based on our analysis on DataBreach.com, the leak impacted approximately 44,400 email addresses, 77,700 phone numbers, and 180,700 physical addresses.Notaby, we did not discover Social Security numbers in the breach.
