What happened in the SoundCloud Breach?

In what appears to be another trophy for the ShinyHunters collective, a breach of SoundCloud’s ancillary systems has exposed a massive cache of 30 million user records. We suspect the group exploited a secondary dashboard-likely through the signature social engineering tactics they have recently perfected against other tech giants-to bypass perimeter defenses and exfiltrate the database.
The resulting leak reportedly contains a wealth of PII, primarily email addresses and public profile metadata, though financial secrets have not yet surfaced. While the company insists sensitive credentials remain secure, the sheer volume of scraped data creates a fertile ground for high-precision phishing campaigns that could weaponize this information against the platform's user base.
