Ross Yerger Insurance Breach

In May 2026, the ransomware group TheGentlemen publicly claimed responsibility for breaching Ross & Yerger Insurance. The group listed the company on its leak site on May 16, 2026, and threatened to release the stolen data if Ross & Yerger did not enter negotiations.

DataBreach.com’s analysis of the files associated with the incident identified 535,605 full-name records, 322,333 dates of birth, 230,708 Social Security numbers, 194,415 street addresses, 163,294 phone numbers, and 122,062 email addresses.

The combination of names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses, and contact information makes this a particularly sensitive breach, as the information could potentially be used for identity theft, targeted phishing, fraudulent applications, or impersonation. These totals represent the number of data fields detected-not necessarily the number of unique people affected-and individuals may have had different combinations of information exposed.
