In June 2024, Rite Aid detected a data breach where an unauthorized party impersonated an employee to access customer information. The compromised data included names, addresses, dates of birth, and driver's license numbers from purchases made between June 6, 2017, and July 30, 2018. Approximately 2.2 million customers were affected.
