Pulmonary Physicians of South Florida Clinics Breach

In early May 2025, Pulmonary Physicians of South Florida Clinics, a medical provider offering pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine services in Miami-Dade and nearby counties, fell victim to a ransomware attack executed by the BrainCipher group.   
The breach was identified on May 5 when the attackers posted evidence and claims of exfiltration on a dark-web leak site, though the clinic has not publicly confirmed the incident.   
The compromised data-amounting to an estimated 2,028 records-included email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, and sensitive medical records. This collection of personal and health-related information exposes patients to significant risks, such as identity theft, phishing attempts, and unauthorized use of medical services.
