In January 2023, Eye4Fraud, a service specializing in fraud prevention for e-commerce merchants, experienced a significant data breach. The breach was publicly disclosed in February 2023 when data allegedly taken from Eye4Fraud was listed for sale on a popular hacking forum. The compromised data spanned tens of millions of rows, totaling 65GB, and included approximately 16 million unique email addresses. The data was spread across 147 tables and encompassed both direct users of Eye4Fraud's services and individuals who had placed orders with merchants utilizing Eye4Fraud for transaction screening.
