BreachForums version 5 Breach

BreachForums version 5 appears to be at the center of a new dispute over the forum’s legitimacy and control, following what ShinyHunters described as an “unauthorised leak” on January 9, 2026. In a message attributed to the group, ShinyHunters said BreachForums had effectively ceased being run by them after the FBI’s seizure of the site on October 10, 2025, and claimed that individuals using the personas “N/A” and “Indra” later restored a similar-looking forum across various domains. The group further alleged that the currently active BreachForums-branded sites are “fake.”

DataBreach.com’s parse of the exposed data identified 339,999 email addresses, and confirmed some of them belong to current users of the forum. ShinyHunters also threatened to leak additional BreachForums backups, including alleged private messages, IP addresses, posts, and other data, if the current forums remain online.
