Beacon Pointe Advisors disclosed a 2026 data breach after detecting unauthorized access to its IT network on February 1, 2026, with the intrusion believed to have occurred between January 30 and February 1. The incident appears to be the same one later claimed by ShinyHunters, which said it stole more than 100,000 records tied to the wealth manager as part of its broader targeting of financial advisory firms. Public reporting indicates Beacon Pointe notified regulators and affected individuals in late February, framing the event as a social-engineering-driven network intrusion that resulted in data exposure
