In November 2025, Advanced Dental, a practice with locations in Berlin and Cromwell, Connecticut, was targeted in a cyberattack attributed to the Sinobi ransomware group. Following the attackers' publication of exfiltrated files on their dark web leak site on November 24, 2025, forensic analysis of the compromised dataset confirmed the exposure of sensitive personally identifiable information (PII). The breach impacted a significant number of individuals, involving 19,500 unique email addresses and 15,500 unique phone numbers. Most critically, the leak exposed high-risk government identification data, including 2,400 unique Social Security Numbers (SSNs), placing the affected individuals at heightened risk for identity theft and targeted phishing campaigns.
